John C. Moore (WSBA No. 21880, admitted 1992), of Lake Oswego, Oregon, received a reprimand, effective October 27, 2006, by order of the Washington State Supreme Court imposing reciprocal discipline in accordance with an order of the Supreme Court of the State of Oregon following a stipulation. This discipline was based on his conduct in 2005 involving use of a notary stamp to attest and verify a signature in violation of the requirements of Oregon’s notary statute. Mr. Moore’s conduct violated Oregon RPC 3.3(a)(5), prohibiting a lawyer from knowingly engaging in illegal conduct or conduct contrary to the Rules of Professional Conduct.
