Description: John David Du Wors (WSBA No. 33987, admitted 2003) of Bainbridge Island, was suspended for six months, effective 8/24/2023, by order of the Washington Supreme Court. Du Wors’ conduct violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 8.4(c) (Dishonesty, Fraud, Deceit or Misrepresentation), 8.4(d) (Prejudicial to the Admin of Justice), 8.4(i) (Moral Turpitude, Corruption or Disregard of Rule of Law).

In relation to his handling of an automobile accident and related insurance claim, Du Wors stipulated to suspension for: 1) committing acts that resulted in Du Wors’ conviction for hit and run – unattended vehicle, and conviction for driving under the influence; 2) making false statements to the police; and 3) making false statements to his insurance company regarding the hit and run and regarding Du Wors’ insurance claim.
