Description: Boris Rubinstein (WSBA No. 23055, admitted 1993) of Bellevue, was reprimanded, effective 11/12/2020, by order of the hearing officer. The lawyer’s conduct violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 1.15A (Safeguarding Property), 1.15B (Required Trust Account Records).

In relation to management of his law firm which primarily handled personal injury matters, Rubinstein stipulated to a reprimand for: 1) failing to deposit and maintain client funds in a trust account; 2) failing to promptly pay or deliver funds that clients and third persons were entitled to receive; 3) failing to maintain a complete and accurate trust account check register and client ledgers; 4) failing to reconcile his trust account records; 5) disbursing more funds than clients had on deposit; 6) disbursing funds before deposits were made to the trust account and before deposits cleared the banking system; and 7) depositing funds into his trust account that were not connected to a representation or escrow.
