Description: Phillip Huang (WSBA No. 50689, admitted 2016) of Seattle, was suspended for nine months, effective 7/28/2020, by order of the Washington Supreme Court. The lawyer’s conduct violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 5.5 (Unauthorized Practice of Law; Multijurisdictional Practice of Law), 5.8 (Misconduct Involving Disbarred, Suspended, Resigned, and Inactive Lawyers), 8.1 (Bar Admission and Disciplinary Matters), 8.4 (Misconduct).
In relation to his failure to comply with his 2019 licensing requirements, Huang stipulated to a nine-month suspension for: 1) representing a person in court while suspended, and by continuing to engage in the practice of law by drafting legal documents while suspended; and 2) knowingly making false statements of material fact in his Application for Change of License Status and his response to a grievance.
