Description: Monty James Booth (WSBA No. 19785, admitted 1990) of Seattle, WA, was suspended for four months, effective 4/01/2020, by order of the Washington Supreme Court. Booth’s conduct violated the following Rules of Professional Conduct: 1.7 (Conflict of Interest: Current Clients).

In relation to his representation of a client in a family law matter, Booth stipulated to a four-month suspension for sharing multiple inappropriate, sexually explicit comments and text messages with his client. Although Booth never engaged in any inappropriate physical contact with his client, thus creating Booth’s conduct created a significant risk that his representation of his client would be materially limited by his personal interest.
