Sandeep Baweja (WSBA No. 28936, admitted 1999), of Santa Ana, California, was disbarred, effective October 17, 2011, by order of the Washington State Supreme Court imposing reciprocal discipline following an order of the Supreme Court of the State of California. This discipline is based on conduct involving the federal felonies of wire fraud and obstruction of justice. Mr. Baweja’s conduct violated California’s Business and Professions Code, § 6102(c), which provides that the Supreme Court shall summarily disbar the attorney if the offense is a felony and an element of the offense is the specific intent to deceive, defraud, steal, or make or suborn a false statement, or the offense involved moral turpitude.
